MaryAnn Foy-Rivell retired in January 2024 after working for 20 years as a Public Information Officer for the New Jersey Division of State Lottery as the Legislative Liaison for the Department of Treasury. She also served as Manager of the Lottery’s Responsible Play Program, served on the Board of Directors of the Council of Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, Inc, and was the Manager and Presenter for the Speaker’s Bureau Program.

Prior to her work with the Lottery, MaryAnn worked as Public Information Officer for the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Siting Commission within the Department of Environmental Protection, and as the Public Information Officer for New Jersey State Division of Motor Vehicles.

She began her career in State Government working as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Assemblyman, later Senator Thomas P. Foy.

MaryAnn’s work in local politics began when she was elected to Delran Township Democratic County Committee for District 3-6, continuously reelected to the present time, previously serving in various officer positions including Chair. She served in municipal government as an appointed member of the Delran Township Sewerage Authority, a member of its Planning Board, and, later, two-terms as an elected Delran Township Councilwoman.

Over the years, she has worked to raise funds for and on campaigns of many Democratic candidates, often serving as Campaign Chair.

She is a lifetime member of the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee, serving as a member of the Board of Trustees, holding various officer positions over time including Chair

She is a founding and a continuous member of the National Federation of Democratic Women, Burlington County Chapter, holding various officer positions over time including Chair

MaryAnn grew up in Burlington Township and later moved to Delran Township where she has resided for 48 years. She is the mother of three grown children: Christopher, Dennis, Sarah.
