Connecting the dots in simple, non-partisan ways, making government and voting easier to understand.
Too many people feel disconnected from our government, and believe their vote doesn’t count.
We know that isn’t true. That’s why we’re here—to provide the tools and resources you need to help you understand the process and find the information you need, so that you can vote with confidence.
Be the Boss. Vote.

“...the very people who are most affected by issues, tend to shy away from bringing a voice to the table.”
Why we are here.
“No one should be embarrassed to ask what an elected official does. People want to be able to ask a simple question, and get a simple answer. Seems easy, but too often it isn’t. How are we supposed to expect people to vote, when they aren’t sure what they are voting for? That’s why we’re here.”
“It’s important that we reach every community. We have to meet people where they are. No one should be left out of the process.”
A 2005 American Bar Association survey showed nearly half of Americans were unable to identify the three branches of government. In 2016 millions of people were not registered to vote, 64% of registered voters did not vote in the midterms, and 33% didn’t vote in the Presidential election. The majority of these people feel disconnected and that their vote is ineffective.
Prepare2Vote is here to make those connections. We believe that to encourage civic engagement, people need to understand the functions of government, the roles and powers of elected officials, and the voting process. And we will do that in fun, non-partisan ways, providing a space where folks can ask questions and get answers without feeling intimidated.
